WSP Solicitors is excited to announce the launch of its Newly Qualified (NQ) Mentoring Scheme, designed to provide essential support and guidance to our newly qualified legal professionals as they transition from trainee to qualified solicitors.
The cornerstone of this program is the one-on-one mentorship model, where each newly qualified solicitor (NQ) will be paired with a mentor to navigate the challenges of their first year post-qualification. The mentorship program aims to offer a structured framework for professional development, fostering a supportive environment that accelerates the growth and success of our emerging legal practitioners.
Stephanie Hemming (Wills, Trusts, and Probate) and Amy Caddick (Childcare) will be the first mentors in the scheme. Both bring a wealth of experience to the table in their respective practice areas. They will kickstart the program by providing personalised guidance to Bethany Fielding and Amara McCalla, two outstanding trainees, becoming newly qualified solicitors in January 2024.
WSP Solicitors truly recognises the importance of mentorship in nurturing the next generation of legal professionals. By pairing mentors with NQ solicitors, the firm aims to make the transition to newly qualified easier, foster skill development, and contribute to the overall success of our legal teams.
“We believe that a strong mentoring relationship can significantly impact the professional journey of our newly qualified solicitors. Stephanie Hemming and Amy Caddick’s commitment to mentor Beth and Amara exemplifies our dedication to supporting our team members in their continued growth and success,” said Camella Cephas, Board Director, and Training Principle at WSP Solicitors.
The NQ Mentoring Scheme aligns with WSP’s commitment to continuous learning, staff development, and creating a positive and collaborative work environment.
