WSP Solicitors Partners to sponsor headline history event at Stroud Book Festival

Stroud Book Festival is delighted to announce that Gloucestershire firm WSP Solicitors will sponsor the Saturday evening headline event at this year’s festival.  Ben Macintyre, bestselling author of Operation Mincemeat and The Spy and the Traitor, will join us to discuss his latest book, The Siege.

It’s a riveting reconstruction of the Iranian Embassy siege in 1980, which was brought to a dramatic denouement by the SAS in a televised storming that interrupted coverage of the world snooker championship final.

Ben Macintyre is a columnist and Associate Editor of The Times. He has worked as the newspaper’s correspondent in New York, Paris and Washington. He is the author of Agent Zigzag, shortlisted for the Costa Biography Award and the Galaxy British Book Award for Biography of the Year 2008, and the no. 1 bestsellers A Spy Among Friends, Operation Mincemeat, Double Cross and SAS: Rogue Heroes.
