WSP Solicitors have joined forces with the Cotswolds’ Dogs and Cats Home (CDCH) following a staff vote, in what is set to be a new 2-year charity partnership.

Judi Bonham, Managing Director of WSP Solicitors said of the partnership “It is fantastic to be working with a new charity that supports the same local values that WSP Solicitors does. This is clearly a cause that means a great deal to our staff and we are looking forward to working together to raise funds for the next two years”.

Leading animal rescue charity in the Cotswolds, CDCH care for hundreds of abandoned, abused and neglected animals each year. Their job is to make sure our animals are cared for by providing them with a safe space, access to veterinary treatment and plenty of love. Part of their job is to ensure animals are fully prepared, before they are adopted – no matter how long this may take. Lastly, they carefully match them to a new family to assure they find their forever home.

In addition to their rehoming centre, CDCH also run a twice weekly low-cost veterinary clinic in Stroud, for individuals on means tested benefits. These clinics impact on our local community by ensuring no animal is left to suffer because of the cost of treatment.

Jane Ellis, Fundraising Manager for CDCH said ‘“We are very excited about this partnership and cannot thank WSP colleagues enough for choosing to support us. We are really looking forward to working with them over the next two years and have lots of fun and exciting plans in place to raise as much money as possible. At a time when funding for our charity has taken a big hit from the COVID pandemic and we rely much more heavily on income from individuals and organisations to run our centre.  We are particularly grateful to our partners like WSP for supporting the Cotswolds Dogs and Cats Home so we can continue to vulnerable, neglected and abused animals.”

WSP Solicitors are really excited about the opportunities this partnership will bring. Please keep an eye out for events and fundraising opportunities throughout the rest of the year.
