WSP on board to bring Gloucester’s award-winning flagship festival back to the city
WSP Solicitors is proudly supporting the Gloucester Tall Ships and Adventure Festival which returns to the city on the May bank holiday weekend.
Organisers are expecting up to 200,000 visitors at the award-winning event taking place between May 25th and May 27th at Gloucester Docks.
Taking place every two years, the Gloucester Tall Ships and
Adventure Festival has won countless awards since it began in 2007; including a
Cotswold Tourism Award in 2014 and a Waterside Renaissance Award in 2010. It
was also runner up in the Recreation
and Tourism category at the Living Waterway’s Awards 2016.

Events at the Festival
As well as the majestic tall ships such as Vilma, the Grayhound,
TS Royalist, La Malouine, and the Matthew
gracing the city’s waterfront this year’s festival will also be brought bang up
to date with its new adventure theme.
New for 2019 is a 1,000 ft-long zip wire across the Docks and
incredible superhero-style Gravity Jet Suit displays. The Industry Pro
Wakeboarders will also be returning to the waterfront this year.
There will be plenty to see and do on dry land as well with a
mobile surfing simulator, circus performers and BMX displays plus fantastic
food, drink and shopping stalls.
On Saturday 25th May, hundreds of county schoolchildren and other local performers will also be taking to stages across the festival as part of a one-day event in partnership with the prestigious Water City Music and Gloucester Academy of Music.
There will also be a performance by the Royal Marine Band Service on Monday 27th May as part of the festival’s programme of live music.
Tickets
Standard tickets for the festival are £10 for adults with
accompanying children under-12 free with every ticket purchased.
Tickets for the zip wire are £39.95 (plus booking fee) and include
an access all areas pass for the festival which is valid across all three days.
