Staff Story – Chloe Perez
“I had just finished my LPC and was looking for a commercial paralegal role to obtain commercial experience for when I applied for a training contract. I initially applied for a paralegal role in the commercial property department and following my interview, I was asked whether I would like to meet the head of the department for company commercial as I had expressed my interest in the area and WSP could see that was what I was passionate about it. I joined the firm in October 2021 as a company commercial paralegal. My first few months were energetic and busy, I was involved in a multimillion-pound deal, attended networking events, and had 1 to 1 mentoring from my head of department. I had expressed my interest in a training contract, applied in April 2022, and successfully started my training contract in September 2022, my seats are in the company commercial, commercial property, and divorce and finance departments.
I have loved every minute of working at WSP. Every day I learn something new and I have the best training and support I could get. Alongside my training contract, I have been able to be involved in a multitude of charity events such as a 15,000ft skydive, the Welsh three peaks, and sleeping overnight in Gloucester prison. WSP also supports my involvement in networking groups, I am a member of the Gloucester and Cheltenham Junior Lawyers Division and Gloucestershire Young Professionals. I am due to qualify in May 2024 at aged 25 and begin my career at WSP.
If you are looking for somewhere to progress your career, have thorough training and support, and work somewhere with a great culture, WSP is the place for you.”
