WSP Solicitors Helps Raise £2,400 for Local Charities at Annual Community Quiz Night
WSP Solicitors is delighted to have once again partnered with local accountants Randall & Payne for our annual Charity Quiz Night, raising an impressive £2,400 for two deserving Gloucestershire charities, Meningitis Now and Maggie’s Cancer Centre Cheltenham.
Held at Great Oldbury Community Centre on 13 July, the popular event welcomed more than 20 teams made up of clients, professional contacts, local businesses, friends and community members. Now in its 16th year, the quiz has become a well-established fixture in the local calendar, bringing people together for an enjoyable evening while supporting important charitable causes.
The quiz competition was closely contested throughout the evening, with teams battling through a variety of challenging rounds. After an exciting finish, the Abbott family team,‘In First Place’, secured the overall victory following a remarkable comeback. Meanwhile, the race for second place was settled with a tie-break question, with‘The Quizzly Bears’ edging into the runner-up spot.
Alongside the quiz, attendees supported a charity raffle featuring a wide range of prizes generously donated by local businesses. One of the evening’s most talked-about prizes was Westy, the raffle dog, who successfully found a new forever home.
Speaking after the event, WSP Solicitors Managing Director Camella Cephas joined Randall & Payne Managing Partner Rob Case in thanking everyone who contributed to the evening’s success. They highlighted the generosity shown by participants, prize donors and supporters, which helped raise vital funds for both charities.
At WSP, supporting local communities is an important part of who we are. Events such as the Charity Quiz Night provide a fantastic opportunity to bring together clients, contacts and local organisations while making a meaningful difference to charities that provide invaluable support across Gloucestershire.
We would like to thank everyone who took part, donated prizes, purchased raffle tickets or helped organise the event. Your support helped make the evening another memorable success.
Save the date: The next Charity Quiz Night will take place on Thursday 8 July 2027 at Great Oldbury Community Centre.
