Introduction to WSP Solicitors
WSP Solicitors has a strong client base and an excellent reputation for providing a full range of legal services to both private and commercial clients.

How you will be trained as a Paralegal?
All new employees will benefit from a comprehensive induction designed to provide the necessary skills to get off to a successful start in the role. The induction is supported by a compulsory six-month period to learn how the practice operates administratively. During this period, we will identify your learning style to help plan your training and integrate you into the practice.
Once you have completed the learning period you will be assigned a Paralegal Coach, generally an experienced Paralegal who will integrate you into your team and teach you the core skills to help you become a successful Paralegal.
Some Paralegals may wish to develop their careers further, we accept and encourage applications for supported training through the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives or the Council of Licensed Conveyancers. Supported training will be decided based on your suitability which will be assessed throughout your time as a Paralegal. Training may be available, dependent on the needs of the practice, in the following departments:
During your training, you will be allocated a training supervisor, generally a Director. You will receive regular coaching and reviews to help prepare you for your career. Throughout your training, there will be plenty of opportunities for you to participate with the firm and the local community at social and networking events as well as participate in the charity work we undertake.

- Being a part of an exciting, growing business that truly put clients first.

Building a Career – Become a Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive
We aspire to develop talent, especially from within the Practice. We, therefore, give a preference to internal candidates, who are commonly Paralegals, to become Trainee Solicitors or Chartered Legal Executives.
Trainee Solicitors
Please view our Trainee Solicitor pages which explain how you can develop your career further within WSP Solicitors.
Chartered Legal Executive
Whilst WSP is a Solicitors Practice, regulated by the Solicitors Regulatory Authority, we also see Chartered Legal Executives as a progressive alternative way of qualifying as a professional Legal Advisor. We, therefore, offer our Paralegals CILEX training once they are successful in and enjoying their roles.
