WSP Solicitors is delighted to welcome Jason Roberts as our new Practice Manager.
Jason joins the team with 30 years’ experience working in both the public and private sectors. A business professional, Jason started his career working within Welsh Government and later moved into the Higher Education sector where he spent a successful 19 years. More recently, Jason transferred his skillset to the Legal sector whereby he held senior executive roles for two well-established law firms based in South Wales.
Jason offers WSP Solicitors a broad skill set and a wealth of knowledge to drawn on. A business generalist, Jason can demonstrate experience in Business Management, Strategic Leadership, Service and Customer Operations, People Management, IT Management, Finance and Administration, Project Management, Health and Safety Practice and General Compliance.
Academically, Jason graduated with a BA Hons Degree in Business Studies from Cardiff Metropolitan University in 1998. Jason then went on to achieve an Executive Master’s Degree in Business Administration (MBA) from the University of South Wales in 2002.
Jason holds PRINCE2 Practitioner status. Jason is also a qualified Health and Safety Practitioner to NEBOSH standards.
On the opportunity of joining WSP Solicitors, Jason stated: ‘It was the ‘perfect’ opportunity for me to continue my career in the Legal sector with a well-established Legal firm operating outside of South Wales. Whilst I am loyal to my Welsh roots, I was excited by the challenge of applying my skillset ‘over the bridge’ and adding some Welsh character to the business”.
Jason was born in the Rhondda Valleys, and for most of his career has lived and worked in South Wales. Jason currently lives in Pontypridd, South Wales and commutes to our offices in Gloucestershire.
As a final quote, Jason stated: “I am extremely proud to join WSP Solicitors and work with the team. As the firm’s new Practice Manager, I am fortunate to manage and oversee all aspects of the business and I look forward to adding to the firms existing best practices and driving the business forward over the coming years”.
