WSP Solicitors is seeking a motivated Residential Property Solicitor, Chartered Legal Executive or Licensed Conveyancer to join our established Residential Conveyancing department. This is an excellent opportunity for a property professional at NQ to 3 years PQE level to develop their career within an established, forward-thinking Gloucestershire firm with a strong reputation and ambitious plans for growth.
In this role, you will handle a busy and varied residential conveyancing caseload, build strong relationships with clients and key stakeholders, and contribute to a department that plays an important role in WSP’s continued success. The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for an enthusiastic residential property professional who combines technical ability with strong communication skills and a genuine commitment to client care. You will ideally have:
- Qualification as a Solicitor, Chartered Legal Executive or Licensed Conveyancer, ideally NQ to 3 years PQE.
- Experience handling a busy and varied residential conveyancing caseload from inception to completion.
- The ability to advise clients on all aspects of residential property and deal confidently with a broad range of clients and documentation.
- A proven track record of building and developing strong client relationships.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a commitment to correct grammar and clear, plain-English advice.
- Strong organisational, interpersonal, and IT skills.
- The ability to balance priorities, coordinate work effectively, and meet deadlines in a volume-led environment.
- An enthusiastic, team-focused approach with a good balance of technical ability and commercial awareness.
Key Responsibilities
As part of the Residential Conveyancing team, you will play an important role in delivering high-quality property services and supporting the continued development of the department. Your core responsibilities will include:
Residential Property Work
- Managing a busy and varied residential conveyancing caseload from inception to completion.
- Advising on residential property transactions including sales, purchases, re-mortgages, buy-to-lets, transfers of equity, leasehold transactions, and new build transactions including shared ownership schemes.
- Handling a broad range of clients and technically demanding documents with accuracy, care, and commercial awareness.
- Providing clear, practical, and client-focused advice using plain English.
Client Relationship Management
- Building and developing strong relationships with clients, referrers, and key stakeholders.
- Delivering an approachable, responsive, and client-first service throughout each transaction.
- Supporting WSP’s reputation for clarity, approachability, and legal expertise.
Business Development & Profile Building
- Participating in the firm’s marketing and business development activities as appropriate, including article drafting, PR, social media, networking, and relationship building.
- Contributing to the continued visibility and growth of the Residential Conveyancing department within the firm and the wider Gloucestershire market.
Teamwork & Professional Development
- Working collaboratively as part of an enthusiastic and supportive team.
- Balancing priorities and coordinating work effectively to meet deadlines and manage volume workload.
- Continuing to develop your technical skills, commercial awareness, and professional confidence through internal and external training.
