WSP to support Meningitis Now for 2nd year running

We were proud to be able to hand over a cheque for £2,833.85 to Meningitis Now last week, and also very happy to announce that they are to be our chosen charity for a second year running.

As a firm we are very excited to be partnering with Meningitis Now, helping to raise much needed funds that help facilitate the great work that the charity does.

Last year staff at WSP volunteered at, and also took part in the Five Valleys Walk. We ‘Got Our Glitter On’ for our Firm’s Christmas Lunch, and raised money through various events, including our joint annual charity quiz night with Randall & Payne on June 22nd, at Marling School, Stroud. As title sponsors of last year’s Stroud Life Awards, WSP were able to nominate Meningitis Now as the charity that benefited from monies raised at the awards.

To kick off this year’s fundraising the WSP/Randall & Payne 10th annual charity quiz will take place on 31st May, at Marling School, Stroud. All are welcome, details of how you can take part will be posted on our website shortly. As well as fundraising this year our aim is to help raise awareness by supporting the team at Meningitis Now as far as possible.

Harry Gardner, Corporate Account Executive at Meningitis Now said: “We are so delighted to hear WSP have chosen to support us for another year!

“Support from local businesses is really important to us and forging good relationships is vital to helping the charity to raise awareness of meningitis.”

Meningitis Now is the founder of the meningitis movement and the only charity dedicated to fighting meningitis in the UK; working towards a future where no one in the UK loses their life to meningitis and everyone affected gets the support they need.

Meningitis Now fights the disease on all fronts:

  • Providing a powerful, united voice for people fighting meningitis.
  • Saving lives by funding vaccine and preventative research.
  • Reducing the disease’s impact through awareness.
  • Rebuilding futures with dedicated support.
  • Fundraising to deliver plans.
