The power of the pullover – WSP’s fundraising efforts raise £75.63 for Text Santa

Christmas Jumper Day Dursley

The power of the pullover – WSP Solicitors host office Christmas Jumper Day

Employees at WSP Solicitors have successfully raised £75.63 for Text Santa, after wearing their knitwear to work on 18th December. The money raised will go on to help Macmillan Cancer Support, Make-A-Wish® UK and Save the Children, giving hope to families in difficulty at Christmas.

WSP’s offices in Stroud, Dursley, Gloucester and Nailsworth saw a vast array of interesting jumper designs, from jumpers with advent calendar doors on to sequined animals wearing reindeer horns – safe to say we saw it all.

As part of a much larger Text Santa appeal, by wearing Christmas jumpers the firm helped to raise money to help fund nurses to support those with cancer, grant wishes to enrich the lives of children and young people fighting life-threatening conditions and save children’s lives.

The ITV charity initiative was first set up in 2011 to support UK-based charities during the Christmas period. The appeal relies on public donations, mainly via text, but also by merchandise and other fundraising activities. This year’s appeal has raised over £8,500,000 already, with many more donations yet to be received.

This is one of the many ways over the course of the year in which WSP help to raise money for charity.
