WSP welcomes the arrival of Cheryl Maynard to the Stroud office. Cheryl joins the firm as a commercial property solicitor, and will be working alongside Nigel Sherwood, Amy Leivers, and namesake Cheryl Leigh.
Cheryl’s career in commercial property so far has spanned 20 years. She trained at a major commercial practice in Bristol before taking up a partnership in Bath, where she worked for over 10 years. Cheryl returned to practise after a career break to raise her young son, working in the legal services department of a large borough council in South Wales. She moved back to private practice in Stroud in 2015, before joining WSP in the New Year.
“I am very pleased to be a part of the property team here in Stroud, working alongside Nigel, Amy and the other Cheryl!” says Cheryl. “Having been on the other side of my now colleagues’ numerous times, I know that they are a very strong and capable team with a good reputation in the local market and beyond.”

The commercial property team operate across Gloucestershire and the rest of England and Wales. They advise on the sale and purchase of land and business premises, as well as landlord and tenant advice regarding leases, licences, alterations, unpaid rent and repair obligations. Their approach is practical and straightforward, working in close partnership with clients in order to build long term valued relationships.
